The All-New Volvo EX60 Is Coming to Calgary

The all-new 2027 Volvo EX60 is coming to Calgary, bringing together the versatility of a midsize SUV, Volvo’s latest safety technology and the longest electric driving range of any Volvo to date.

Our first EX60 is expected to arrive at Volvo Cars Royal Oak by the end of August, and we’ll be opening test drive appointments in mid-September.

Up to 531 km of Electric Range

One of the biggest developments with the EX60 is its range.

The 2027 Volvo EX60 offers an estimated driving range of up to 531 kilometres - that’s the longest range Volvo has offered in a fully electric vehicle to date.

For Calgary drivers, that makes the EX60 much more than an around-town EV. Whether it’s weekends in the mountains or longer Alberta road trips, the EX60 has been engineered to make electric driving easier to fit into everyday life.

Fast Charging for Life on the Go

Range is only part of the equation. Volvo has equipped the EX60 with an 800-volt electrical architecture, allowing it to take advantage of significantly faster DC charging.

At a compatible 400 kW DC fast charger, the EX60 can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes under optimal conditions. At home, Level 2 charging makes it easy to plug in overnight and start the next morning ready to go.

The EX60 also uses battery pre-conditioning and intelligent battery-management technology to help optimize charging performance - particularly useful in a climate like Calgary's.

All-Wheel Drive with 503 Horsepower

Practical doesn't mean slow.

The Volvo EX60 delivers an estimated 503 horsepower and 524 lb-ft of torque, with 0–100 km/h acceleration in approximately 4.6 seconds.

You get the instant response of an electric vehicle combined with the confidence of all-wheel drive, packaged in a midsize SUV designed for everyday driving.

Familiar Volvo Practicality - Reimagined for Electric

For drivers who love the size and versatility of the XC60, the EX60 represents an exciting next step.

It's a true five-passenger midsize SUV with a clean, contemporary Scandinavian interior and plenty of room for real life. With the rear seats folded, the EX60 offers up to 1,647 litres of cargo capacity, plus additional storage in the front trunk.

The dedicated electric platform also allows Volvo to rethink how space is used throughout the cabin, creating an interior that feels open, uncluttered and highly functional.

A New Generation of Volvo Safety

Safety has always been at the centre of Volvo design, and the EX60 introduces an important new innovation: Volvo's world-first multi-adaptive safety belt.

Standard in the front seats, the system uses information from the vehicle's interior and exterior sensors to adapt its response based on factors such as the occupant's size and seating position as well as the characteristics of a collision.

The EX60 also features Volvo's latest generation of driver assistance, collision avoidance and protective safety technologies.

A Volvo That Can Keep Getting Better

Inside, the EX60 introduces Volvo's latest core-computing architecture, designed to power everything from infotainment to driver assistance and safety systems.

That computing capability also allows Volvo to continue improving and adding functionality through over-the-air software updates, helping the vehicle evolve even after you drive it home. Called HuginCore, after one of the mythical ravens of Norse mythology, this central nervous system for the vehicle delivers over 250 trillion operations per second!

The result is an electric SUV that feels unmistakably Volvo while introducing an entirely new generation of technology.
